Picture
Girl with Red Bird

This picture began with the broken-down steps to some train tracks.  The tree is from an agricultural lot at Michigan State University.  The sky is the green aurora borealis; the little girl, her bird, and other elements are from vintage postcards.

Girl in the Garden with Snake Charmer

I am able to set this collage in one of my favorite locations, the Chicago Botanic Garden.  The snake charmer hails from Venice Beach CA, the zebra from parts unknown.

Picture
Girl in Woods with Kitten

Another favorite place -- the woods in the Bay View MI community.  Amazingly, this photo of the woods was taken in mid-February 2011, after a significant thaw and melt.  The stars had been lovingly hung from a small pine tree in front of a cottage.  The window is from the Evanston (IL) lighthouse.

Picture
Twins with Bee Houses

The bee houses were found in the Chicago Botanic Garden last fall.  The sky is from a sunset last summer looking out over Little Traverse Bay in northern Michigan; the foreground grass is from a different location along the same bay.  The twin girls are from a vintage photo.  I included a diagram of palmistry, along with some interesting graphics about space.

The Journey

More twins.  The alley and trees were taken at one of the Michigan State University agricultural lots.  The mountain is from Red Rock Canyon a bit west from Las Vegas NV.  Can you see the map in the snow?  It's the route of the Lewis & Clark trail.
