As the moon is passing from one constellation into another, it is termed that the moon is void of course. The prevailing lore is that things are wobbly during that time, and it's best that even we take time off from our usual endeavors as things are likely not to go right.
I was compelled by the weather conditions on this last such day, 12/14/2011. The lake and sky were almost the same color, with slight ripples on the water surface. All seemed to suggest: Relax, take time to consider things.

I took two photographs this same day, in close proximity to each other. The ripples on the water remind me of silk. I also like very much the faint electric blue of the horizon.
