Picture
Blue Sky - Golden Yellow Leaves.

This picture was taken in the Bay View woods during the fall 2010.  I was just struck by the glorious color combination.

Picture
Sunset Beach.

This is the beach at Bay View at sunset, late summer 2010.  The sun turned everything a pink-gold color.  The totemic stones add extra interest.

Picture
Log with Lichen.

In the Bay View woods -- this a place to which I return over and over, and I always find something of great interest.

Picture
Fog at Dawn -- Crooked Lake.

The lake was completely silent and motionless when I took this picture early in the morning.  The fog was just beginning to burn off.  The water was like a mirror, and cobwebs hung from the grasses.

Picture
Waterlily and Dragonfly.

More still, glassy water.  The lovely contrast between the blue-black water and bright green leaves, and the delicate dragonfly atop the closed bud.  All of this is contrasted with the burst of sunlight at the bottom left.

Picture
Early Spring.

I appreciate the abstract images that can be found in nature, given just the right colors and framing of the camera.  This image is all about shapes, colors, textures, and the rippling water.

Picture
Winter Thaw 1.

Wouldn't you know it?  The Bay View woods again.  The patterns made by the hoary ice, along with the contrasting colors, are what compelled me to make this picture and the following two.

Picture
Winter Thaw 2.

This is the same stream in the Bay View woods.  More interesting ice and contrasting colors.

Picture
Winter Thaw 3.

I was just fascinated with the interesting visual of the black pool containing a reflection alongside the snow and ice.  I also like the hint of color -- and life -- shown by the emerging evergreen branches.
